Michael Kornberg, M.D. is a graduate of The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. Dr. Kornberg completed his internship and residency in General Psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore in Bronx, New York. Dr. Kornberg completed his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship training at UC San Diego Medical Center. Dr. Kornberg is board eligible in child and adolescent, as well as adult psychiatry.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Kornberg graduated from UC San Diego (Phi Beta Kappa) with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. While completing post-baccalaureate premedical coursework at UC San Diego, he worked with children diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorders and their families.
Dr. Kornberg has a special interest in helping people. He believes that it is essential to treat the person with a disease rather than the disease itself. He enjoys working with people of all ages, and takes pleasure in the rewards and privileges derived from being able to help others.
