|Angeline Thomson is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with 10+ years of experience in the mental health/social service field. She earned her B.S. degree in Psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato (MNSU), and her M.A. degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, San Diego (The American School of Professional Psychology).
Prior to Angeline joining the PsyCare team, she has previous experience providing therapeutic services to toddlers, pre-school age, grade school age, teenagers, young adults, middle-age adults, older adults, couples, parents/guardians, and families. She has also worked explicitly with Eating Disorders, Co-Occurring disorders, complex trauma, victims of violence and abuse, individuals struggling with substance issues, self-harm, as well as adults experiencing moderate to severe psychotic disorders.
Angeline identifies as an eclectic therapist, taking a collaborative approach, while utilizing a variety of methods, techniques, principles and philosophies that is unique to each client. In an attempt to build on the client’s strengths, she strives to create a treatment plan that is specific and individualized to the client’s needs.
In her practice Angeline may, at times, incorporate mindfulness techniques, as well as highlight the important role that self-care takes in one’s life. When Angeline is not at the office, she enjoys the outdoors, traveling, arts & crafts, spending quality time with family & friends, and being playful with her dogs.
