Lamont Lee is a Psychologist who earned his Bachelor of Arts from Seattle Pacific University, his Ph. D from Fuller School of Psychology and Master of Art in Religious Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. It was at Fuller’s Child Development Center that he worked for three years on a research team with shy and withdrawn elementary school age boys. Following graduation, he taught as an assistant professor of psychology at Biola University in La Mirada, California and later taught family practice residents at Antelope Valley Hospital Medical Center- UCLA Family Practice Center for several years.
Dr. Lee has been in private practice for many years. Dr. Lee’s top priority is to help the client assess themselves, define their goals, and facilitate reaching their goals. There are times in everyone’s life when they are in need of assistance from someone else. Through the counseling process, clients have the opportunity to become aware of their healthy side and the unrealized internal resources for progressing though present and future challenges. He works within a cognitive-behavioral framework where thoughts and perceptions are main issues influencing behavior. He also uses various approaches with philosophical/Christian counseling and cognitive-behavioral techniques.
