About Carrie Anne Cooper, LMFT

Carrie Anne Cooper is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California who has been practicing since 2001. She was a Navy brat and has lived all over the world. She went to school in Asia from age 7 to about 11 years old. Carrie graduated high school in California and has lived in Southern California ever since. She went to the University of California, Irvine (UCI), and went to Pepperdine University for her Master’s Degree. Carrie has been working in the field of psychology for more than 20 years, working with a variety of populations and diagnoses. She has worked with women in domestic violence situations, child abuse, autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, sleep disorders, etc. Carrie helps clients by providing empathy and understanding as she uses CBT and various other psychological interventions. She really enjoys working with teens and children and tries to make counseling both interesting and healing for them, so that it is an overall positive experience. Carrie also enjoys working with parents to help improve their interactions with their children and loved ones. Carrie’s family and friends are the priorities in her life. She spends all of her time with them when she is not working. She also loves animals. Carrie lives on an acre and a half of land and has six dogs and a parakeet (who has an attitude). Carrie enjoys having fun and being silly, as well as, looking at art in a museum and reflecting on the beauty there. She enjoys going to Disneyland, traveling, and going to the movies. She is married and has 2 children, one is 11 years old, and one is almost 15 years old. Carrie has a child on the autism spectrum and both of her kids have ADHD.
