Charissa Ruud is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of clinically licensed experience in two states, but her earliest working in this field began in CA in 1973 when she started working with music therapy and adolescent autistic.
Her youngest to oldest clients ranged from age 2 ½ to 87. She has done 1:1 therapy, worked in prison and hospital populations, and facilitated many groups. She has expertise in Long-Term Support/Growth, substance abuse, parenting, domestic violence, sex offender and survivors, cognitive restructuring/thinking errors, anger management, emotional regulation, grief and loss, PTSD and Trauma and crisis intervention.
She has worked in secular and religious settings, traditional and non-traditional family settings (with diversity issues ranging from socioeconomic, sexual orientation and identification, heterosexuality and LGBTQ, race and ethnicity) academic, rural, residential, correctional, military and hospital.
Charissa loves the diversity that each client brings into treatment, and enjoys helping clients reach their goals and working towards living healthier and more satisfied lives.
