Asking for help is one of the scariest things we can do as human beings. When searching for the right therapist for you, and/or your family members, it is vital that you feel a real, authentic, professional connection with the person you want to trust. My specialty is to provide the empathy and compassion you are lacking while getting to the root of your pain (psychologically, physically, and emotionally). Danielle L. Holloway is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with her Doctorate in Community Counseling and Care with a Traumatology emphasis. She graduated with honors from Chapman University with her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Bachelor of Science in Social Science with a Cultural Diversity emphasis. She has more than 10 years of experience supporting patients with dual-diagnosed mental and behavioral disorders. I believe in forming real therapeutic connections, with my patients and their families, starting with our first interaction, through the end of your therapeutic services with myself and LifeStance. I utilize several therapeutic modalities depending on the needs of my patients. Examples, Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment Theory, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy. Some of the disorders I treat, (this is not exhaustive) are depression, anxiety, panic disorders, substance abuse, disorganized eating, grief and loss, couples, families, academic, social, and emotional challenges. While Danielle attended Chapman University, she was afforded the opportunity to work as police, fire, and EMS Public Safety Dispatcher (911) and Hostage Negotiator for the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Desert Team. This has provided her with invaluable experiences and training to not only handle but mitigate the potential for further harm to others. Furthermore, she facilitates individual and group psychotherapy, parenting courses, specialty training, case management, psycho-education, referrals, and resources within reach of your community and follow-up care. In Danielle's free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, son, and dog Charlie. She also teaches yoga, mindfulness, and meditation and is a large fitness advocate. She will never turn down a body of water to swim in!
