About Lesley Boutah, LCSW

Lesley Boutah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She accepts patients starting at age 18 and up. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from San Diego State University, with a concentration in Mental Health.

Lesley has been working in the mental health field for over 15+ years. She’s worked in all levels of care including psychiatric inpatient, partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient program, and outpatient services. Most recently, she worked at the VA San Diego for 8 1/2 years in outpatient mental health services where she provided individual/group therapy, comprehensive mental health intakes, and crisis interventions.

Lesley believes in the person centered approach, and is mindful that there is no one size fits all towards therapy. She utilizes evidence based treatment, and has specialized training in treating transdiagnostic depression, anxiety, and trauma related disorders. She has a special interest in concerns related to self-esteem, self-image, interpersonal relationships and infertility. She is an ally for all. She holds space for recognizing the impact of intergenerational trauma, acculturation/assimilation, racism/microaggressions on one’s mental health.

Lastly, Lesley respects that vulnerability takes courage. Her non-judgmental stance, and use of validation will create a safe space for patients. It's the highest honor to have a patient's trust, and she will use that therapeutic relationship to help patients propel themselves to becoming their best self.
