About Natalya Sivashov, LMFT

Natalya Sivashov is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California who has been practicing since 2018. She has a Masters in Counseling Psychology Program with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, and Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Natalya lived in three different countries throughout her formative years which has inspired in her a love for multiculturalism, open-heartedness, resilience, and a passion for helping people heal. Natalya is an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist. Additionally, she is genuinely respectful and considerate of all different sexual and gender identities, cultures, ethnicities, and faiths. Natalya utilizes CBT to assist her clients, and her approach involves building upon clients’ strengths, providing psychoeducation, exploring the presenting problem or symptoms, teaching self-regulation skills, and helping clients to manage the difficulties in their lives. Additionally, Natalya utilizes her knowledge of mythology, symbols, archetypes, and psychoanalytic techniques to help clients to get to the core of their problem. Likewise, she utilizes mindfulness-based techniques, and a trauma informed approach when working with clients. With couples she utilizes Imago Relationship Therapy. Every person has unique sets of dynamics, experiences, and diversity that make up who they are. The nuances and the reasons why people come to therapy are as diverse as the people themselves. Thus, Natalya uses a multi-modal approach to create an individualized treatment plan for each client with the client’s involvement. Natalya is empathetic, direct, and has an ability to make people feel at ease. It is an honor to help clients reconnect with themselves, move towards self-love, attain more peaceful relationships, and improve their life circumstances. In her free time, Natalya enjoys yoga, hiking, meditation, playing with her pets, and dance.
