Rachel initially cultivated her love of psychology after completing a course focused on the multi-aspects of human personality. Since graduate school, she has gained diverse experience in working with children, adolescents, families, and couples to help them develop and utilize positive coping skills to better themselves and address their life challenges. Rachel has extensive experience and expertise in helping her clients overcome depression, anxiety, mania, psychosis, and dual diagnoses. She prides herself on quickly building rapport and trust, within a variety of settings, with those she serves. Among other roles, Rachel has served as an Urgent Care manager and a Crisis Lead for a San Diego outpatient psychiatric center, a Psychiatric Liaison for a North County hospital, and as a Lead Clinician for an Escondido counseling center.
Rachel Engh completed her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and went on to complete her Master’s degree at Alliant International University majoring in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has continued her high-school passion for volleyball while living in San Diego, playing beach volleyball as frequently as possible. Rachel has two amazing felines named Cleopatra and Queen Elizabeth, she enjoys reading novels by Michael Crichton, Don Winslow, and Thomas Pynchon, and loves to “experiment” with cooking for friends.
